February 27-March 6, 2007. Big Mountain is located in the northwest corner of the state and is one of Montana's largest ski areas with more than 3000 skiable acres, 2500 vertical feet and 335 inches average annual snowfall, all at a 7000 foot elevation. The ski terrain is rated 25% beginner, 55% intermediate and 20% advanced. Since March 3 and 4 are full-moon nights, we can schecule a moonlight dinner on the mountain and be able to ski down the mountain in moonlight. Just one of the enjoyable activities. Come and join the splendor of unspoiled Montana.
Grouse Mountain Lodge features deluxe accommodations with superb amenities. It is located a short shuttle ride from both the town of Whitefish and Big Mountain. Cross country ski on fifteen kilometers of groomed trains out of the hotel's door. Rentals are available. Cross country ski with a five dollar donation.
